FIBEP is the world’s media intelligence association with over 130 corporate members from more than 60 countries. The association and its members are focused on providing globally-driven, enterprise-scale solutions in the fields of media monitoring, media analysis, PR distribution, journalist databases, as well as consulting services and SaaS platforms.
The federation was founded in 1953 in Paris and now hosts a broad range of activities including the FIBEP World Media Intelligence Congress, senior networking sessions, and a variety of high-impact research studies.
With 65 years of growth and experience, the FIBEP World Media Intelligence Congress has become one of the largest events for communications, public relations, technology, social media monitoring and marketing professionals alike. It brings together communications professionals from around the world to share best practices, discuss industry developments and innovations, present the latest technology and network through a variety of presentations and panel discussions from industry leaders. This year’s theme will be Exploring and Expanding the Media Intelligence World and the program will include a wide range of best practices and topics relevant for media intelligence and communication professionals including social media monitoring, privacy, and data integrity, copyright, the evolution of data consumption, measurement, PR trends, technological developments and future outlooks for communications and media intelligence industries.
The 2019 FIBEP World Media Intelligence Congress took take place over three days, starting on Tuesday, November 5th with the FIBEP Association General Assembly and afternoon programming. Following the program, the Super Networking Session allows FIBEP members to take part in a “speed networking” session. Tuesday evening will also host FIBEP Peruvian Welcome Cocktails giving members an opportunity to socialize and enjoy a pisco sour on the rooftop pool area overlooking the ocean. Wednesday and Thursday, November 6th & 7th will include a wide range of talks, panels, and discussions with the addition of evening programming for networking including a very special dinner on Wednesday evening. This year the traditional gala dinner will be turned into a Peruvian Culinary Experience at one of the World’s best restaurants- the renowned Astrid y Gaston a pioneer of Peru’s ever-vibrant gastronomic scene. This dinner will allow FIBEP Congress attendees and their guests to experience traditional Peruvian fare in a stunning 17th-century hacienda. During the entire Congress, an exhibition area will be set up for attendees to learn about new and innovative products from companies from around the world. This year FIBEP will also be offering an extended congress experience for FIBEP members and their families to group together and explore outlying areas such as the former Incan capital city of Cusco and the stunning sanctuary Machu Picchu, a UNESCO World Heritage Site settled in the middle of a tropical mountain forest the few days before the congress begins.
