Carlos A. Anderson

Mr. Anderson is an international banker (UBS, Lehman Brothers and ABN AMRO). Earlier in his career, he worked as a journalist for the BBC World Service and as an economist at The EIU. Mr. Anderson holds an MSc Economics from the University of London and pursued doctoral studies in Economic History at the LSE. In March 2013 he was appointed Chairman of the Board of Peru’s Centre for National Strategic Planning. Currently, Mr. Anderson is the general manager of Europa Partners, a Lima-based investment banking boutique.

Luis Argandoña

Luis Argandoña is the CEO of Conecta Media, a media intelligence company based in Chile. He has a masters degree in Media and Communications at the London School of Economics, and has previous experience in journalism, political communications and media market research.

Pietro Biglia

Always passionate about communication and media, after some editorial experiences at local and specialized magazines, Pietro Biglia started his work experience as press officer at the National Museum of Science and Technology in Milan. In 2013 he moved to Dubai, an increasingly important crossroads for business services, where he deepened his experience in the areas of media monitoring and analysis. There he held various roles and duties at News Group International, now Carma.

Pietro's experience has therefore followed the content life cycle: from creation, through communication, to analysis and measurement of their results.

Since 2015 his job in L’Eco della Stampa is to re-launch the brand's leadership, helping the company in the transition from the traditional market to the digital front; this through the implementation of a communication strategy based on the enhancement of original content and contributing to the development of new products.

Francisco Carvajal

Adolfo Corujo

Adolfo Corujo is Partner and Chief Strategy & Innovation Officer in LLYC (LLORENTE & CUENCA). Previously, he had been Chief Talent and Innovation Officer , Managing Director for Spain and Portugal offices and had led the Digital Area of the company. He is an expert in reputation management on the Internet. During his 20-years of professional career he has collaborated in the design and implementation of several projects both for the development and the defense or promotion of the digital identity in many different multinational enterprises in Spain and Latin America.

In the academic field, he collaborates with different universities and business schools, where he gives lectures on Social Business, Personal Brand, Narratives and Online Reputation. Executive MBA from ESADE, Adolfo holds a degree in Advertising and Public Relations from Universidad Complutense of Madrid. In September 2019, he has published "Comusicación", his book about trends and methodologies to take full advantage of the recent comms disruption through the stories of 18 music geniuses.

Camila Crescinbeni

Congresswoman of Argentina

Camila is 29 years old and is a National Congresswoman elected for Juntos por el Cambio party in the Province of Buenos Aires and will assume her seat on December 10, 2019. She is a political scientist graduated from the University of Buenos Aires with an honorary certificate. She is currently President of the National Youth of her party and Director of Social Inclusion at the National Youth Institute. Since December 2017, she has also councilwoman in Almirante Brown (ad honorem).

Kanika Dayal

Kanika Dayal is Director of Business Development at Impact Research & Measurement, India. She is responsible for new business acquisition and international client relationships for Impact. Since her early days in college, Kanika has been very passionate about Communications and has worked as an 'RJ' (English presenter) with All India Radio (AIR) for multiple years. She has done her Bachelor’s in Commerce from Delhi University and holds an MBA in International Business.

Carlos Diaz

Carlos A. Diaz is General Manager and a Member of the Board of GlobalNews Group, with more than 340 employees, offices in 10 Latin American Countries and in the US and more than 3000 clients, including 100 Fortune 500 companies, GlobalNews is the main Media Monitoring, Measurement, Evaluation and Insights company in Latin America.  


Carlos has over 10 years of experience in information gathering, measurement and evaluation services. He has helped acquire and develop the methodologies, tools and skills necessary to extract meaningful information from huge amounts of structured & unstructured data at GlobalNews group. He also has a background in IT entrepreneurship, having founded three different startups related to the media and information sectors (the last one resulting in a successful acqui-hire by GlobalNews Group) since the age of 18.


In his current position, he has spearheaded four major acquisitions in 2017-2018 alone (including market leaders such as Reporte Informativo, FOCO, and ManagementPress) and has re-structured GlobalNews’ insights department as part of the current strategical growth objectives of the company, as well as entered into the Ecuatorian and Chilean Markets, becoming the second largest player in each market in less than a year. He has championed the re-organization of an industry that is more than one hundred years old from manual, human intensive processes into specialized high value-added human processes that are helped by heavy investment in artificial intelligence and allow the live monitoring and analysis of thousands of media outlets and millions of social media posts.


Carlos is a self-professed gamer, who programs in his free time for his personal pet-projects, plays Rugby in the Buenos Aires Rugby Union, and is an avid skier.

Christophe Dickès

Christophe Dickès is in charge of copyrights at Kantar Media across Europe. He works with the publishers and the RRO at an international level. He is co-chair of the Copyright Commission (AMEC & FIBEP). In 2016, he integrated the European Legal 500 GC power list which recognizes the corporate counsel who are driving the legal business forward and identifies an array of the most influential and innovative in-house counsel working in the region.

 

He is in charge of the GDPR coordination at Kantar Media France and leads the internal communication for the EMEA zone at Kantar Media too. Christophe holds a doctorate in Contemporary History and a master degree in Politics and Media. He is a contributor to several media and publications.

Karolina has graduated from cultural studies and international relations at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, Poland. She is a passionate traveller, riding a family multivan from Africa up to the Arctic Circle.

Maria Laura Garcia

María Laura García is President and Founder of GlobalNews® Group, an organization created to collect all of the information that is produced by media outlets in latin america and process it in order to better power communications professionals.. Founded in 1998, and covering 17 countries from its 10 offices, GlobalNews® Group has become the premier source of media monitoring in Latin America.

María Laura also holds leadership positions outside of GlobalNews® Group, serving as the vice president of the Federation Internationale Des Bureaux D’Extraits De Presse. In 2017, María Laura was invited to participate in the Global Entrepreneurship Summit in Hyderabad, India, and in 2018 the Indian government invited her to participate in IndiaSoft, while Bank of America and Vital Voces chose her for the Global ambassadors program in New York City.

María Laura has lectured at conferences and seminars throughout Latin America, and has taught communications at El Salvador University in Argentina. She has contributed to two books on media and is working on a novel about migration and culture from a woman's perspective.

Romina Gersuni

Romina Gersuni is pressrelations‘s Global Strategy Manager. She has more than twelve years of experience in the media intelligence industry. Since 2013 she has been part of pressrelations where she consolidated the company’s software business division. Romina is responsible for improving strategies, products, and partnerships as well as for commercializing pressrelations’s services and software solutions. Romina holds a degree in Business Administration and attended postgraduate studies in International Economic Relations at the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Renée Richardson Gosline

Renée Richardson Gosline is a Senior Lecturer in the Management Science group at the MIT Sloan School of Management. She has been named one of the World’s Top 40 Professors under 40 by Poets and Quants, and a Principal Research Scientist at MIT's Initiative on The Digital Economy. 

Gosline’s research focuses on the intersection between behavioral science and technology, and the implications of technology for cognitive bias in human decision-making. She examines how structure and technology (e.g., CX, wearables, social media) affect performance and self-perception, as featured in her Tedx talk, “The Outsourced Mind.” Her research projects have examined: the interaction of status and placebo effects in health and performance; how consumers determine “real” from “fake” products; the circumstances under which customers perceive value in platforms; and the effects of storytelling in social media on trust and persuasion. In order to address these issues rigorously, Gosline employs experimental methodology, both in the field and the laboratory. She is currrently researching when and why humans prefer algorithmic to human input when making choices. 

Gosline enjoys teaching MBA and Executive Education classes on Leadership, CX strategy, and Brand strategy. She also collaborates with companies on applied research. Prior to academia, she was a marketing practitioner at LVMH Moet Hennessy and Leo Burnett.

Gosline holds undergraduate and graduate degrees from Harvard University, including a doctorate from the Harvard Business School.

David Hidalgo

David Hidalgo is News Director at OjoPúblico, a digital investigative media outled from Perú. He is author of the book "La Biblioteca Fantasma" (Planeta, 2018), a non-fiction story on the trafficking of ancient and rare books in Perú. His earlier book, "Sombras de un rescate" (Planeta, 2007 and 2017), looked for the traces of the last armed action perpetrated by the terrorist group MRTA. He directed the team of the Stolen Memory Project (Memoria Robada), a trasnational investigation on the trafficking of the Latin American cultural patrimony, that was awarded with the Third Prize at the 2016 Latin American Investigative Journalism Awards. He was also a member of the Peruvian team whom received the Data Journalism Award 2015 for Best Investigation of the Year (Small newsroom), granted by the Global Editors Network. He received the Human Rights and Journalism Award twice, in 2006 and 2015. Hidalgo was fellow of the 2009 Edward R. Murrow Program for Journalists, organized by the United States Department of State. He was editor-in-chief of Etiqueta Negra magazine, an awarded publication of narrative journalism.

Magdalena Horánska

Magdalena is a sales and marketing professional with more than 15 years of experience in media monitoring and measurement industry. Currently, she is CEO of NEWTON Media SEE, a group of media monitoring and measurement companies across the Adriatic region and a FIBEP vice president. In the past, Magdalena was responsible for managing companies of NEWTON Media Group in Poland and Slovakia. Her experience also includes automatic speech recognition of Slavic languages mainly focused on dictation into computer and TV and radio automatic transcription. She has a university degree in Business administration, marketing and management.

Sophia Karakeva

Communications and Marketing Executive, DataScouting

Sophia has been active in the media industry for over 20 years and she currently holds the position of Communications and Marketing Executive at DataScouting, leading software research, and development company in Greece. Sophia is also a news correspondent for the Czech TV, while in the past she worked as a journalist at the Czech News Agency. Sophia has extensive experience in providing expert consulting, analysis and media monitoring in the area of media intelligence.

 

She has a PhD in Mass Communication and Journalism from the Charles University in Prague.

 

Sophia is currently a FIBEP Vice President and member of the FIBEP Copyright and Fair Trade Commission. She has also served as Vice-Chair of the European Chapter for AMEC.

Laura La Torre

Laura La Torre has a degree in Political Science from the University of Buenos Aires. She completed a master's degree in Administration and Public Policy at the University of San Andrés and a Management Development Program at the IAE. She has developed his professional activity in the public and private sphere. Since September 2018, she has been an advisor to the Cabinet Office of the Ministry of Health and Social Development, Carolina Stanley, coordinating the management of gender public policies, and addiction prevention, as well as the communication and crisis team. She had a brief step by the Government of the City of Buenos Aires, as Deputy Secretary of International and Institutional Relations (2016-2017). Previously, she worked in the Pegasus Group and Farmacity as Director of Corporate Affairs, starting up the area that did not exist in the organization (2011-2016). She manages crisis scenarios by implementing high-impact actions aimed at different audiences. She also leads individual and group mentoring processes for those who seek to discover and develop their own skills.

Lorena is convinced that Collaborative Leadership should be adopted in all areas of life, since we "learn to learn" in teams to achieve constant personal enrichment. This requires self-knowledge to discover those traits which are specific to each one of us, what identifies and makes each one of us unique human beings. Rob Morbin

Rob Morbin has been working in member research, public affairs and marketing for over ten years in London, UK. Previously holding a role supporting British automotive SMEs with international business, Rob then became Head of Engagement at the Chartered Institute of Public Relations, where he launched the Corporate area of the organisation. He now runs all aspects of ICCO as their General Manager, operating across 66 countries worldwide. 

Todd Murphy

At the age of 13 Todd developed the broadcast monitoring services for Universal Information Services, a family business. After graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1991, Todd joined Universal to develop innovative services that deliver media monitoring and measurement tools. Since 1991 Universal has enjoyed continued growth in revenue and client base, becoming the only company in the United States to comprehensively monitor and evaluate all media types within the company.

Todd Murphy completed the full acquisition of Universal Information Services in 2015, after integrating other media monitoring services he had acquired over the prior 10 years. Universal continues to focus on innovation by most recently adding artificial intelligence the their news monitoring and launching the Alpha Clips service. Todd also serves or chairs several boards of directors for industry associations and non-profit organizations.

Nicolas Novoa

Michael O'Connell

Michael began his career in the Royal Australian Navy before taking communications roles in Australia and the UK.  After four years at one of Australia's leading public affairs consultancies, he was appointed the Senior Graduate Research Fellow at School of Communication at American University in Washington DC where he completed his Masters in Communication.  Upon his return to Australia, Michael established the Media Research Group which became one of the country's leading media monitoring companies.  It was acquired by Australian Associated Press in 2007 and Michael stayed on as Managing Director and assumed responsibility for the entire Medianet business in 2013.  

 

AAP Medianet is Australia's largest press release distribution and media contacts database business.  It includes AMEC award winning media analysis firm, Mediaverse and AAP Directories, publisher of five titles including Who's Who in Australia.

Oresti Patricios

Oresti Patricios ist CEO of OrnicoGroup in South Africa. He has long been on the cutting edge of the media and advertising industries. Started in the industry in 1984.Oresti was doing his social media MBA at GIBS when Twitter was barely a tweet and has always driven his vision of dominating African media and brand intelligence. He now fronts an organization of more than 200 dedicated individuals that services the top 450 local advertisers and is also chairman of SAMMA (SA Media monitoring and measurement association) as well as a board member of FIBEP (World Media Intelligence Association) and PAMRO (Pan African Media Research Foundation). Oresti also won the “Achiever of the Year” award at the PAMRO conference in 2017 and the Boabab award in 2019. This was in recognition to what he has done for the Research industry in Africa. Henry Rafael

Journalist, strategist and political consultant. International expert in Strategic Communication. Advisor to institutions and personalities of the political and private world. As director of the ICPG he had an outstanding participation as President for Peru of the VIII World Summit of Political Communication (2015), of the 1° Latin American Summit of Governmental Communication (2016) and of the Annual Meeting of Directors and Communication Teams - EDIRCOM (2017).

 

He holds a Master's degree in Public Affairs and International Relations from the School of Public Policy at the University of Massachusetts Boston. His experience in the United States led him to serve as an official and advisor to the Presidency of the Inter-American Press Association (IAPA), based in Miami, professor at the University of Massachusetts (Boston), co-founder member of the Center on Media on Society and coordinator of the Media Nation Project in partnership with the Nieman Foundation of Harvard University. He conducted a field study at the Department of Justice of the United Nations Mission in Kosovo, thanks to a grant from the Center for Development and Democracy.

 

In Peru, he started as a journalist for the newspaper El Comercio, where he later became an advisor to the General Direction. He has developed consultancies for Grupo Cosas, Grupo El Comercio, Semana Económica, among other media. In the field of corporate and institutional communication, he has extensive experience advising ministries, private companies and public institutions, as well as public and private sector personalities; creating and developing strategic communication campaigns.

Tim Scerba

Tim Scerba, Executive Director of Pacific Latam, is a recognized international strategic corporate and marketing communications expert with deep experience in public relations, branding, and corporate imaging.  He also has extensive experience in all aspects of crisis and sensitive issues management, including risk audits, team preparation and simulation training, crisis inoculation and active situation management and recovery. His sector work in this area includes aviation, food and beverage, construction, pharmaceuticals, financial services, manufacturing and consumer products. During his career, Tim has worked with a wide variety of clients in such diverse sectors as consumer products, construction, technology, food and beverage, health, energy, tourism, automotive, financial services, legal, consumer electronics, and entertainment. A frequent speaker on international communications, he is a graduate of Yale University and has completed specialized course work in Managing Corporate Change at the Stanford Business School; Public, Corporate and Financial Relations at New York University; and graduate course work with the Life Management Institute in New York. Jonathan Taplin

Jonathan Taplin is an author and Director Emeritus of the USC Annenberg Innovation Lab. Taplin’s book Move Fast and Break Things: How Facebook, Google and Amazon Have Cornered Culture and Undermined Democracy was published by Little, Brown & Co. in April of 2017. The book was nominated by the Financial Times as one of the Best Business Books of 2017. Taplin has produced music and film for Bob Dylan and The Band, George Harrison, Martin Scorsese, Wim Wenders, Gus Van Sant and many others. He was the founder of Intertainer, the first streaming Video On Demand Platform in 1996

Mr. Taplin graduated from Princeton University. He was a Professor at the USC Annenberg School for Communications and Journalism from 2003-2016. He is a member of the Academy Of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. He currently sits on the boards of The Authors Guild, Americana Music Association and Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti’s Council on Technology and Innovation. His commentary has appeared in The New York Times, Washington Post, Time Magazine, The Huffington Post, The Guardian, Medium, The Washington Monthly and the Wall Street Journal.

Alice Ting

General Manger and VP, nytLicensing for The New York Times

Alice Ting, general manager and vice president, nytLicensing, for The New York Times, is responsible for the global financial performance of the licensing and syndication businesses.  Ms. Ting oversees a portfolio of products and services ranging from local licenses of T: The New York Times Style Magazine to book development to digital archive distribution deals.  She leads an international team of sales, business development, marketing and operations professionals who are focused on licensing and distributing content from both The New York Times and from select editorial brands to media companies, book publishers, education platforms, brands, B2C and B2B websites and other digital platforms.

 

Ms. Ting has held several positions at The Times.  Previously, she was responsible for various commerce and brand extension businesses, including launching the School of the New York Times.  Ms. Ting served as executive director, brand development, for The Times, where she identified, executed and oversaw businesses such as the online store, branded merchandise, the wine club, and Times Journeys.  She was also responsible for content-related business development such as rights and permission, content licensing and sales for the North American market.

 

Ms. Ting joined The Times in 2000 as a director of strategy for NYTd, which was the digital arm of the company.  She also served as director, strategic planning, for Times Media Group, where she identified ancillary revenue streams.  She then became director, strategic initiatives and publications, for the News Services Division, where she managed some of its niche publications and rights & permissions partners.

 

Before joining The Times, Ms. Ting was a management consultant for PricewaterhouseCoopers, advising media and publishing companies on revenue growth strategies and new product development.

 

Ms. Ting earned a bachelor’s degree from Cornell University and an M.B.A. from the Columbia Business School at Columbia University.  She lives in New York City with her husband and son and spends many weekends on the travel baseball circuit.  She is an avid traveler, enjoys hiking and running, and is currently training for the NYC Marathon.

Urpi Torrado

Thomas Vejlemand

Thomas Vejlemand is the CEO of Infomedia, a leading media intelligence provider in the Nordics with offices in both Copenhagen, Oslo, Stockholm and Tallinn. He has extensive leadership experience within the media, communication and technology sector, both as a board member and as CEO. Throughout his career he has been a dedicated advisor for Danish start-up businesses.

Esteban G. Wensjoe

Born in Lima, Perú, Esteban is an example of world digital advantages. He lives in Paris, where he completed an MBA on Startups and Strategy on 2017, and since 2016 is in charge of the Financial Office of Imedia Comunicaciones based in Lima Peru. He also is responsible for tenders with the state and supervises the development of new digital projects oof the Company. Esteban holds an MSc Economics from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú and he holds a decade of experience in the Banking and Financial Industry, investments and marketing.
